Water Pressure Machine

What is a water pressure machine? What such a machine does? How much does it cost to buy one? Why you should about it? Who can operate such a machine?

These are some of the questions that I will be answering throughout this page.

I don’t know if you have ever heard about or seen a jetting machine before but, they have been around for over 30 years.

What Is A Scour Jet Machine?

Also known as scour jet machine, this type of equipment was designed to produce extreme high water pressure to clear and wash clogged drains.

Types Of Jet Machines:

There are two types of water pressure or jetting machines available in the market today and both types are designed to remove sludge and grease from drain pipes.

The first scour jet machine also known as Harbon is much bigger equipment that is built in form of a trailer; such a machine has its own power generator engine built into it.

When in operation, the machine can generate up to 6000 psi of water pressure.

The second scour jet is also known as the mini jet, this one is a smaller version of the first one and it does not have a self generator motor, it runs by electricity. It comes with a power cord to be plug into the wall outlet.

The mini jet machine when in operation can generate up to 2000 psi of pressure.

What The Jetter Does?

Both machines are highly efficient to unplug drain pipes, especially if the problem is grease, sludge buildup or dirty in the pipe.

The Harbon machine was designed to effectively remove build ups in pipes with measurement of 3” and above, but I would not used in pipes that are bigger that 8”, it becomes extremely hard to feed the hose into the pipe after certain distance.

The smaller jet was designed to work effectively in smaller pipes usually measuring between 1 ½ and 2” in diameter.

The Cost Of A Jetter Machine:

The pricing on those machines can vary greatly, for example, if you were to buy a trailer scour jet machine, the lower end ones would usually cost around 20K and it can go up to 50K for the high end ones.

The mini jet machine will cost between 5k and 10k.

Operating A Jetter Machine:

A scour jet machine is not like a cable machine because it is more complicated equipment; one must have a lot of training and enough experience to properly and safely operates such a water pressure machine.

Only professionals can use a jet machine and, because of the high risk level of one getting hurt, such a equipment usually is not available for lease or rent.

Why Learn About Jetter Machine?

My goal here is to educate all my customers about the existence and benefit of such a water pressure equipment because, there will be a time when someone will need one of those equipments to unplug a clogged drain and no cable will be able to do it.

So, by knowing about jet machines and what they can do for your home’s drains, you will be able to find out what companies have them available and , therefore, you will also know what companies are better prepared to provide the highest outstanding job at a reasonable price.

So, I hope that this article provided you with some good information about the importance of jetting your home drain system.
