Your Dishwasher Wont Drain?

Understanding a dishwasher drain:
Your Dishwasher wont drain? Do you want to know why?
Dishwasher drain is one of the simplest drains connected to the overall piping system in your home. It usually is 4 to 5 feet in length; it comes from the back in the bottom of your dishwasher to where it connects to the garbage disposal under your kitchen sink.
The dishwasher drain pipe measures around ½” in diameter and is normally made out of flex plastic pipe, also known as funny pipe.
How does the dishwasher drain get clogged?
Since the dishwasher drain pipe connects on the side of the garbage disposal, it is subject to collect debris from the kitchen sink itself, especially when people dump all kind of debris in the line. When huge amount of debris are dumped in the disposal, it might plug the disposal itself which can also case back-flow into the dishwasher through the drain. The dishwasher drain can also clog when people put dishes inside to be washed but don’t remove the excess of waste from them. Dishwashers are not made to get rid of food waste. They are designed only to wash, therefore, if someone put dishes with remaining food on it, it will likely to plug the drain pipe and the

So, once you have removed the washer machine drain pipe from the disposal side, put the end of the pipe inside a bucket, then fill the machine with a little bit of water and then try to drain it.
This might push the blockage into the bucket.
What if this doesn’t work?
In this case, you will have to unscrew the dishwasher to pull it from the location so that you have access to the back of it. Then, you will have to remove the drain pipe from the back of the dishwasher, so that you can clean or replace the pipe.
What are the tools required?
